"Hah" = Hi
This is how she says "hi," by the way. Maybe she's just super southern.

The daycare daily cracks me up. Every time.
I've gotta say, I am becoming such a daycare convert.
Just look at this hilarious daily report I get! (And, yes, I did warn them about her being Benny'd due to her allergic reaction-rash.)
My girls eats better than I do. Waffles for breakfast, lasagna for lunch and cheddar bunnies (whatever they are) for snack? Come on. That's adorable.

Not a fan of Puffs yet
Since Ava is basically a pro at baby food now, we decided to up the ante and try feeding her blueberry Puffs that dissolve in the mouth. It was a hilarious failure.
Maybe next time, kiddo.

Buzzing sounds are funny until they're not
Ava's new thing -- for half a second; she's already over it -- was laughing when I made buzzing sounds. I thought it was hilarious so I took video of her reaction...
And then I startled her and made her laugh-cry. WHOOPS.

Adorably gross
Every night after bath time, I use the nasal aspirator on Ava's snot. It's as gross as it sounds, but she's freakishly comfortable with it.
Well, Baby Girl has her first cold (kind of? no fever) and the sniffles are getting the best of her. So, I've been cleaning out her nose very often.
Just last night, she started this thing where she TRIES TO LICK IT as I suction. Every time I stick that thing in her nose, her little tongue creeps out. It is equal parts hilarious and gross. Naturally, I started laughing when it happened, which made her laugh. There we were, me and my snot-filled daughter, giggling at each other. It was fing precious.
I guess these are the moments parents talk about when they say it's all worth it.

That sums it up
This is remotely parenting-related and it made me laugh, so here's a video that demonstrates the difference in parenting styles of dogs vs. cats.
...Also, I fear I'm a cat.

The name game
Dave and I picked out a first name for the baby girl a while ago and, as I believe I've mentioned before, my Drunk Grandma thinks we should name the baby after her (Roselyn).
This? Is not happening.
But that didn't stop her from making a few name suggestions while we were all on vacation last month. She was really getting crazy with it, throwing out ideas like Thomasina (not kidding), so I decided to make her a little crazy myself...
----
Backstory you need to know: My other grandmother, who passed away in 1995, was named Alice. I wish I could have known and appreciated her as an adult, but I was barely 13 when she died. And Dave's grandmother was named Audrey, which we always liked. Family names just sound nice to me. Naming our daughter either of these "A" names would eat my Drunk Grandma ALIVE. I know this.
----
...After one of those out-of-control suggestions, I told her bluntly, "Grandma, we already picked a name."
"You did?" she asked, wide-eyed. "Are you telling?"
"Nope," I said.
"What letter does it start with?" she asked.
"A," I answered.
And I walked away before she could pick her jaw back up off the floor.
DEAL WITH IT, GRANDMA.
Cruel? Perhaps.
Funny? I think so, but I'm an asshole.
