Forecasting

Today, it is snowing. Well, sleet-snowing at this exact moment, but Chicago is about to get an assload of winter armageddon dumped across the city later this afternoon, tonight and tomorrow morning.

Since I'm home today (new/old job starts tomorrow), I decided to throw salt on the stairs, sidewalk and driveway. It took me maybe 20 minutes and I AM EXHAUSTED. I expected to be cold, but I did not expect to be winded. So very disturbingly out of shape.

This likely does not bode well for childbirth. If I can't get my body on board with doing a little bit of snow prep, I don't see how I'll get it to have a smooth labor.

Guess I should start working out...

  1. ha that's just pregnancy:) well and children. Prepare to be exhausted. Forever. For some reason people let you think that after your kid gets say 4-5months old that they start sleeping through the night and you go back to a pretty normal life. Not true. Those little shits still keep me up all night;)

    1. Oh, Kel. I can always count on you to give it to me straight. Do you survive on caffeine or crack or what? I don't know how to function without enough sleep!

    2. A little bit of both;) And naps! haha Ok so maybe it's not THAT bad. Well...not every week. See they'll be terrible till you think you can no longer take it then all of a sudden they'll sleep like angels. Although we've had a bad run lately so I could be a little jaded;)
