My sister-in-law is getting married in April and I will be a bridesmaid in the wedding.
Since there's only one other female in the wedding party, my SIL is letting us pick our dresses. Doesn't matter what style, as long as they are magenta.
So, back in October, I found this lovely little Badgley Mischka on Rent the Runway:
Done and done.
...Aaaaand then baby happened.
One of the first things I did when I found out I was pregnant is contact RTR to chat with them about how that dress fits in the mid region. "Very forgiving," they assured me. Good enough for me! The order stands.
Now, I'm 14 weeks pregnant and beginning to wonder just how forgiving it will be. I'll be 20 weeks at that point (five months, for you math-haters) and I have no idea what my stomach will be doing then. Is it insane to try to fit into normal-people clothes when you're halfway through your pregnancy?
To be on the safe side, I changed the sizes to one size up and two sizes up, seeing as I'd fit pretty well into the one size up right now. But I'm still considering buying a back-up dress -- not a disgusting maternity gown, but maybe just something with an empire waist. I don't know. I don't want to look like a round little Gobstopper, but I certainly don't want to be that sad lady whose clothes don't fit. ESPECIALLY when there will be photographic evidence it for the rest of my life.
Eh. To be continued.
The bridesmaid dress dilemma post was attractive to the newly engaged girls. This information might be useful for other engaged girls. To know the information about the dress vendors are easy using the wedding app for iPad is helpful for them.
